Finally he slept in the pack and play

I wasn't sure that this would fit our Graco pack and play, but it was a perfect fit. We took a trip for Thanksgiving and our 19 mo. old isn't ready to sleep in a real bed, so we took his pack and play. When we've gone to visit grandparents before he wouldn't sleep in it- kept waking up during the night. He was too used to sleeping on his mattress in his crib and the pack and play mat was too hard for him to get comfortable. This mattress was a live saver! He was able to get comfortable and slept through the night while we were on vacation. Took his naps in there too. Make sure you get the mattress sheet cover for it as just the plastic will not feel good. It needs a fitted sheet over it.

Works great for Pack'n'Play & Portacrib

We originally bought this two years ago for the portacrib at my mom's house. At the time (bought through Target), it was shipped folded in half, and so had to be flattened out for a night or two before we used it. I recently bought this again through Amazon, and it was shipped from the same supplier, but this time in a full-sized box (not folded in half). It worked great in the portacrib, and we were satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that it fits perfectly into our Graco Pack'n'Play as well. Admittedly, there is a bit of a gap on the long side on both sides when placed inside of the Pack'n'Play. But it's not a concern for me that it poses any sort of danger for my baby. It isn't all that firm (gave it four stars b/c it could benefit by being a bit firmer); but for what we use it for - visits to grandma's house, naps @ friends homes in the Pack'n'Play when we visit, etc. - it works just great. Very pleased for the price I paid.

mattress for pack n play

Great for the pack n play. Haven't used it yet since our baby grandson is still using the upper part of the pack n play. I made my own when our kids were babies....much more comfortable than laying on the thin padding at the bottom of the bed. This pack n play doesn't get moved out of the house. An extra mattress to travel with, wouldn't be necessary. It's great for us grandparents to have a good bed for these little special people!!!

Great compact toddler bed

This bed is very cute and easy to assemble. It is also a great choice if you have a small space! We have 3 boys and a small house. Needless to say, it's necessary for all 3 to share a room. This bed worked perfect because it easily fit into the room without making it feel cramped. The only thing to consider is that it is only designed to hold weights up to approximately 50 lbs. You can't sit on it with your child to read but it is low enough to the ground that you can sit right next to it and still share a story. All in all, a good buy for the money.

Good toddler bed.. one glaring flaw

The overall bed is good.. easy to assemble (even with the two year old 'helping').. the look of the bed is nice and the design is good. I think this is better then that bulky Step2 fire truck bed.. its more practial and more like a bed and less like a toy.The one fatal flaw I believe is the crappy shelf in the front. It is a very thin piece of wood that is held in there by slats on adjacent boards... however this is a TODDLER BED and of course our son has a tendancy to climb on the front part of the bed (truck)... and often steps in and on the shelf part.. a few times now the shelf given way on one of the long sides.. cracking the board. Not sure why they didn't use the same thickness of boards as the other parts of the bed.. that would have been much better and safer.Its a toddler bed.. the kid is bound to be all over it... so what is up with the cheap, thin shelf.Otherwise it really is a great bed.

Boys love their beds!

purchased 2 of these for my 2. yr old twin boys.They LOVE them and often choose to play in their beds when it is not even time to sleep/nap.Easy enough to assemble for one person. I had 2 of the bottom pieces that were not cut correctly and when I called the company a real person answered the phone right away and they sent out replacement parts quickly and without any hesitation (bed was still perfectly usable without these parts).They are very low to the ground, which my guys love as it allows them to sit on the edge and have their feet touch the ground.

Great buy!

I researched this quite a bit before finally deciding to buy this and in color MOCHA. I wanted something travel friendly, not too childish looking, comfortable, practical, light and at a reasonable price. I think this is the best bet. The packaging is practical and light. My husband was impressed too. It is also bigger than I expected, so I think it will be suitable for at least 1 year if not more. It folds up and opens easily too. It looks nice and trendy and is safe most importantly. Do not have to worry about it collapsing. I also like that there is a mosquito net for camping for eg. You can carry it in your hand when packed up or throw it in your suitcase. I would feel comfortable traveling on my own with our baby and taking this along since it would not be a burden (weight and size terms). The only thing I am a little uncertain of is the quality of the fabric. It is quite thin, so I think you need to take care you do not tear it especially the nylon sides. Considering all the the other features, I am willing to let the thin fabric go and say that this is a great buy at a great rate. Other brands which are sold as compact, fold away, light travel beds which are playpen like and are expensive are not worth it. I have spoken to several people who purchased the ones which go for a rate of 150-300 USD and they say they are too bulky, heavy, expensive and not travel friendly at all and for those prices they not only should last over 1 year but be even more compact and light than the KUSHIES BABY EASY FOLD BABY BED and are not. This is definitely one of the best out there if your needs are the ones I have listed.

Probably best for younger baby

I bought this baby bed to use on our first family trip with our daughter (9 months old). It would have been great if she was a bit younger and not pulling herself up on furniture yet. She tried to climb out of it when she woke up and the sides are not strong enough to handle that. They fold/collapse like those circular sun shades for windshields. Otherwise, it was the perfect size and very easily transported. I would recommend it for babies that can roll over, but are not crawling yet.

Conceptually five starts, but...

So I love how light this is. I have five small children and homeschool so we are all together all the time and the baby has to sleep lots of places. We already require so much stuff that not having to carry a huge pack and play is really nice, that being said...It already has multiple small holes, the material is so light it easily tears. Also, the reason I bought his was b/c my baby is a tummy sleeper and will not sleep in an infant seat...so here are the problems...the mattress is puffy, so I have to keep checking that his nose is free and clear. Secondly there are only two little pieces of Velcro holding the mattress down, so if he moves around at all the mattress comes up and it's a thin tent material b/t his head and the hard ground. My last complaint is that although it's easier to carry around than a pack and play it's more of a hassle to put up and down. It has these plastic joints and one broke right away, so be careful and frankly it's a pain putting it up and down. That being said, I use it out of necessity all the time.

Love it, love it, love it.

I bought one organic ABC crib sheet and one non-organic ABC crib sheet. Both have impressed me thus far. Both fit a standard crib mattress. The organic sheet IS softer than the regular sheet (although both are remarkably soft), and I love the feel of it. It feels like a much more expensive sheet! I read in the other reviews that it shrinks in the dryer, and so I have been very careful drying it - hanging it dry when possible, and drying it on the delicate cycle when not. Thus far, I have washed it several times and it has washed well and I have not noticed any shrinking (nor have I had any trouble fitting it on the mattress). Overall, this is my favorite sheet that I've bought for my son's crib, and I plan to buy more.ADDITIONAL INFO: I wrote this review in June, 2009. It is now January, 2011. This sheet is still soft, still fits the mattress (I've been drying it on my regular settings in my dryer for the last year, at least, without any shrinkage). All the other brands of sheets I bought no longer fit, or are no longer soft, but these have endured. I'll be buying more of these sheets for my daughter's crib, because I am so impressed!

SUPER soft, but shrinks significantly!

For several months now I have been using the conventional cotton interlock sheet by ABC in my daughter's crib and have been very pleased. I upgraded to this organic sheet last week. They are SUPER soft and stretchy and actually run a little large right out of the package. The standard size mattress we have measures 28 x 52 x 5. After washing them according to the manufacturer's care instructions before use, I found that they REALLY shrank up! I washed them in cold and dried them on the coolest setting available on my dryer (permanent press cycle.) The length from one end of the crib to the other was most affected. I will definitely use them, but it's going to be a bit of a wrestling match each time I change her sheets! Go ahead and buy these sheets but be VERY careful how you care for them.

All of our crib sheets are organic cotton, but this one is the BEST hands down. I thought all of our other sheets felt really soft compared with conventional cotton, but this one is even softer! Feels like a smooth thick organic cotton stretchy t-shirt. The fact that it is natural in color makes it even more soft than dyed organic cotton sheets. CHOOSE THIS SHEET for your child's crib. You will not be disappointed!

truly terrific crib

This crib is sturdy and very easy to roll from room to room. Goes thru conventional doorways with ease. Park baby anyplace that's handy for you to hear him/her. Has comfortably held baby up to nearly a year old. Can get thicker mattress if using every day. Lowers to different levels as baby gets larger/more mobile. It's quite attractive and takes up so much less space than a full size crib. Perfect if children are close in age and the older one isn't out of the crib, but a younger sibling comes along. You're good to go for almost an additional year.......... We used bumper pads with ours as soon as baby was scooting toward rails. Before baby could scoot - didn't use bumper pads because air circulation is so important for tiny ones. Easy to purchase mattress pads, bumper pads and sheets for - be sure to designate "mini crib" not portacrib. We love ours - one at baby's house and one at Grandma's house too. Easy to roll out of the way when not being used.

Rocking feature rocks! Love this crib

I'm surprised other reviewers haven't commented on how wonderful the rocking feature is for young babies. We had a Co-Sleeper for our first child but were given this mini crib for our second. What an upgrade! When DD was a newborn, this crib saved me 30-50% of night wakenings. We kept the crib next to the bed and if she started fussing I could stick out one finger and gently rock the crib to get her back to sleep without even opening my eyes. Also, our first child was hard to get to sleep and after 30-45 minutes of soothing and rocking chair he would finally fall asleep only to wake up as we transfered him into the co-sleeper. If we had had this crib, we could have rocked him to sleep right in the crib with no transfer to wake up from! My daughter is one year old, still sleeps in the crib and has plenty of room. Definitely get a 50-coil mattress to go with it.

Great mini-crib, still using it at 19 months

We bought this crib when my wife was pregnant, and our daughter is still sleeping in it at 19 months. We never did use the rocking feature, but left the wheels on full time so we could move it from room to room as needed. We have a relatively small house without a lot of open space to move or store things, and this crib is the perfect size for us.We also bought the Crescent Mini-Crib Mattress, which is 6" thick, and we had trouble finding fitted sheets for it. Fortunately, we found the Gerber Brand Organic Crib Sheet, which is actually designed to be a full-size crib sheet, but all the reviews complained about how it was way too small. We bought a couple of them, washed them in hot, and they fit perfectly on the mini-crib mattress.We also added the BreathableBaby Crib Bumper for Slatted Cribs as a crib liner. It's a thin, open mesh that allows for easy breathing as well as some visibility, but keeps little arms and legs from getting outside the crib through the slats during active sleeping.Put all those together and we have loved our crib. The crib itself assembled easily, and the mattress platform has several height positions, so it can be set in a high position for use as a bassinet during the early months, then lowered as the baby grows to prevent crawling out over the rails. It's been durable and practical, and continues to look great even after 19 months of hard use.

We purchased this crib mattress to replace an older one. It hasn't been used yet (still waiting for baby to arrive), but I'm very impressed. There was no awful plastic smell when we opened the packaging, the newborn and toddler sides are clearly labeled, and the mattress corners are square so there's no gap between the mattress and crib. The organic made me feel at ease as it was only the very best for my spoiled baby and the 2 in one toddler and baby sides meant that it would last the length that I needed it to!There was one thing that I was slightly disappointed with and that is the firmness of the mattress itself on the baby side - I felt that it is not firm enough, especially for a newborn. So I decided to also give the Sealy Soybean Foam-Core Crib Mattress a try.After trying out and swapping each mattress many times, I decided to keep the Soybean Foam Mattress, because it is firmer and lighter.To explain firmer, first the baby sleeps deeply and fine on both mattresses, but on the firmer soy foam mattress, the baby would sleep with the face turned right or left, but on the organic cotton spring, the baby would sleep with face up making the back of the head flat, and during tummy time, the baby likes the firmer mattress because it is easier for her to push up and not sunken in.As for lighter, I believe the soy foam is probably 10 times lighter then the cotton spring mattress. I can't change the sheet of the spring mattress on my own without a helping hand. But I was able to change the sheet on my own using the soy foam mattress.I feel both products deserve 5 star reviews for quality, craftsmanship and value, but I'm giving it a 4 because it wasn't as firm as I was expecting. I decided to keep the soy foam for the points I mentioned and will give it a 5.

Absolutely the best mattress for the money

This mattress is such a meager price for what you get: First of all, it's cotton, so no plasticky grossness of the normal crib mattresses. Second of all, it's organic, which is super awesome for newborns-- especially when they spend so much time sleeping. Plus, this is 2 sided! We bought this for my daughter when she was a newborn and now we've flipped it over as she's on a toddler bed. We've bought another for her little brother who will be arriving any day now. One of my highest recommendations for baby!
