Before you read this, you may want to know that I paid this crib&changer combo for around $400 from my local BabiesRUs. And honestly, I like that crib very much but I am not sure it is completely worth the $600+ that it is currently being sold for on Amazon.com.I never like to spend too much money on a object with a short life-span - like baby items. I didn't want a crib that would be overgrown too quickly. So a convertible crib was the way to go for me. I looked at different brands and design and fell in love with this one. It is as beautiful in person than on the picture, and it was a overall good buy. The drawers are pretty sturdy, which is pretty hard to find in baby furniture, the color is very nice. I have two 'not as good' comments:1. You need to buy extra parts to convert it to a toddler bed, and then a full bed, and those are around $200 for each configuration. I was a little upset as I realized that AFTER I bought this crib. But it is still probably cheaper than buying a new bed.2. The 'paint' isn't actually paint, but a sort of duct-tape glued to the crib. Not a big deal, but my unit had some spots where this was showing, hopefully it was on the bad.Otherwise I am happy with it, and so is everyone who sees it. Hopefully my daughter will like it enough when she is older not to ask for another bed! Fingers crossed...
